The Acting Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Malam Jalal Arabi has acknowledged the importance of collaboration in traversing the Commission’s operational complexities.
Arabi made the affirmation on Thursday, in Abuja, against the background of challenging terrain of pilgrimage journeys.
NAHCON boss’ disclosure was made when he hosted his counterpart – the Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Yakubu Pam, who was on a courtesy visit to the Hajj House, to extend warm congratulations on his appointment.

A press release signed by Fatima Sanda Usara, NAHCON Assistant Director, Public Affairs, indicated that the visit, laden with goodwill, served as a testament to the spirit of unity and cooperation between the two religious pilgrimage bodies.
Speaking during the visit, Malam Arabi conveyed his gratitude to his Christian counterpart for the heartfelt visit, describing NCPC Chairman as a brother and veteran in the field, highlighting the significance of patience, shared experiences in navigating the trials associated with organising pilgrimage. Arabi described Pam’s visit as a pride to him.
On his part, Rev. Pam expressed sincere wishes for the success of Malam Arabi, in his new role and assured him of unwavering support.
He prayed for his victory, even in demanding moments, while expressing confidence that Malam Arabi would make Nigeria proud, knowing his antecedents. He added that the staff and country would celebrate Arabi’s achievements eventually.
Rev. Pam was accompanied during the visit by Abu Okpanachi Director of Operations, Barnabas Ali, Special Assistant to the ES, Nkaiso Ndemenang, Deputy Director and Head Planning, Research and Program Development, Celestine Toruka Deputy Director and Head Media and Public Relations as well as Charlin Makai Head of Protocol.
The exchange of goodwill between the two leaders reaffirmed the commitment to harmonious coexistence and joint efforts in addressing the unique challenges posed by pilgrimage activities.
