Obaseki’s CPS resigns five months after appointment

Andrew Okungbowa, Chief Press Secretary of the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has resigned.
The CPS announced his resignation from his position in a three-paragraph letter that was obtained on Tuesday.
Okungbowa wrote in the letter dated December 4, 2023: “I write to formally inform you of my resignation from my position as CPS to the governor, with immediate effect.
“I am most grateful for the privilege and opportunity to serve the governor and the state.
“Please, accept my kind felicitation.”
The Eagle Online recalls that Okungbowa was appointed as the CPS to Obaseki on July 25, 2023.
His appointment was announced by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie.
