Sobande wins Abeokuta Golf Club’s Beginners Challenge
The second Beginners Golf Challenge took a whole new dimension over the weekend as children had ‘fun time’ learning the rudiments of the sportat the Abeokuta Golf Club (AGC) with so much enthusiasm.
The children, from age three and above, who were assembled from within and around the Ogun State capital, had a golf clinic handled by AGC’s resident golf professional, Mubasiru Sanusi.
At the AGC course range, the children in their numbers were taught positioning, holding the club, swinging, putting among other relevant golf ethics, as well as the benefits of playing golf in comparison with other sports.
Incidentally, the children had the privilege of practicing what they were taught with plastic clubs for the age three plus and iron for the age six and above.
