A fire incident on January 13, 2024 razed a furniture workshop and destroyed properties said to be worth over N1.4 million.
The furniture workshop is located at Agbabu Street in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State and owned by Adeleke Peter.
The owner reported the incident to the police.

Adeleke said that one Segun Popoola was burning debris behind the workshop and the fire spread out of control to engulf his workshop.
He listed the properties destroyed as 3000kv generator, drilling machine, hand saw, fabrics, foams, wooden boards as well as ready-made furniture.
The damaged properties were estimated to worth N1,491,500.
Officers from Igbeba Police Division went to the scene, where it was discovered that the fire got out of control due to flammable items such as plastics and nylons.
Investigation has commenced and the said culprit has been arrested and taken in for interrogation.
