Ogun: We will have a comeback soon, PDP tells APC

Following the Supreme Court’s decisive judgement on the 2023 Governorship Poll in Ogun State, the Peoples Democratic Party says it has accepted the verdict but promises to take the state back as another opportunity presents itself.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Publicity Secretary of PDP, Ogun State, Asiwaju Akinloye Bankole.

The party affirmed its commitment to democracy, expressing determination of a comeback in future elections.

Acknowledging the Apex Court’s constitutional closure of the matter and congratulating Governor Abiodun on his victory, the party reiterated its unwavering dedication to democratic principles.

The statement read, “While we acknowledge the Supreme Court’s ruling, our commitment to fostering a thriving democracy in Ogun State remains resolute.

“We encourage our supporters to remain strong, as another opportunity to serve the state will present itself shortly.

“In face of this reality, we encourage the good people of Ogun State to remain steadfast, rededicate and direct all efforts to the well-being and prosperity of the state as we are confident that another opportunity to serve the state will present itself shortly,” it added.

The party assured that the momentary setback will not dampen its spirit and patriotic resolve to liberate as well as reposition Ogun State for greatness.
