‘Soldiers’ steal car, phones in Ogun

Four suspects in the uniform of the Nigerian Army have been reported to have stolen a vehicle and phones belonging to one Nurudeen Madehinlo at Amolaso area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

According to information available to The Eagle Online, the four men have been found to be fake soldiers.

In a report made available to Kemta Police Division, the said soldiers pretended to make an arrest for fraud and drove away the Toyota Camry with phones.

Madehinlo explained that the original documents of the vehicle and two phones belonging to himself and his friend, Michael Omobuwa, were inside the vehicle.

Spontaneous efforts intensified to apprehend the hoodlums as well as ensure recovery of the vehicle proved in vain.

However, the police have promised further investigation into the issue until the suspects are apprehended and brought to Justice.

The stolen Toyota Camry has Registration Number KSF 749 JF, Chassis number INXBO 4OF99Z118890, and Engine number 2ZRJ267480.
