Woman’s car stolen at wedding ceremony, truck hijacked in Ogun
The Toyota Venza of a woman, Oluremi Mabel Olatunji, has been stolen at the venue of a wedding ceremony.
The incident, according to information available to The Eagle Online, occurred on December 30, 2023 at about 2pm.
The incident was reported by Olatunji, who resides at Adekunle Crescent, Apele, Sagamu area of Ogun State at Sagamu Divisional Police Headquarters at about 2:15pm same day.
The Eagle Online learnt that the Toyota Venza was taken away from where it was parked as she attended the wedding ceremony at NUGA Event Centre, GRA, Sagamu.
She gave the details of the grey colour car as: Registration Number: FKJ 921 HA LAGOS; Chasis Number: 4T3ZFI3C2WUO51473; and Engine Number: IMZ5432188.
As at press time, The Eagle Online learnt that the vehicle, which was parked at an adjoining street to the event centre, was yet to be found.
Meanwhile in another development, the driver of a truck that belongs to Danco Petroleum, simply identified as Lamidi, has reported its hijack.
According to available information, the truck was reported to have been hijacked at about 4am by Musbau Yusuf of Danco Petroleum, who also said the information came through an Assistant Manager of the company, Umoru Hassan.
According to Yusuf, who reported the incident at Ijebu Imusin Divisional Police Headquarters under the Ogun State Police Command at about 2pm, Lamidi said an empty trailer crossed him on Sagamu-Benin Expressway, close to MRS filling station.

He said the hoodlums in the empty truck took him to the bush and tied him up.
However, findings by the police revealed that Lamidi made the trip despite the company’s warning against night travels.
The police also found out that the tracking device in the truck had been demobilised after it was hijacked.
