Hoodlums break into government’s warehouse, steal food items + Photo

Hoodlums have broken into a government storage facility in Gwagwa town in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Sunday, looting stored food items, Daily Trust is reporting.

According to the credible newspaper, youths in their numbers broke into the warehouse around 7am on Sunday.

Daily Trust said the youths looted bags of maize and grain from the warehouse located around Tasha area of the community and were not done as at 9am.

A resident of the town, Jaafar Aminu, told Daily Trust that even those from neighbouring Jiwa and Karmo towns trooped towards the site with the intention of partaking in the loot.

He said the situation has caused a grid lock on Gwagwa-Karmo Road that leads to Dei-Dei and Jabi axis.
