Power outage at Lagos international airport
There was a sudden power outage at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State on Thursday.
The outage was said to have caused chaos and confusion among travellers at Nigeria’s busiest international airport.
According to a source, the disruption was eventually traced to an electrical fuse fault, which later resulted in a complete loss of electricity in the old terminal.
The source said: “The power outage resulted from a fuse cut that generated some smoke.
“The situation has since been resolved, with the Uninterruptible Power Supply device tripping for a few minutes before being restored.”
