Senators in darkness, waited for AEDC to restore power
Due to power failure, Senators, on Tuesday, delayed the plenary session for the Abuja Electricity Distribution PLC to restore power supply before the commencement of sitting.
This threw the Red Chamber into blackout as the lawmakers awaited the restoration of public power supply.
The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, would later commence plenary after power was restored some minutes later.
Recall that the Abuja Electricity Distribution PLC in February threatened to disconnect the electricity supply of 86 Ministries, Departments and Agencies over a total debt of N47.1 billion.
