Noting that because wealth compounds while assets only grow by saving and investing in various products, she urged women to focus on doing investments.

According to her, the UK is committed to the digital economy in Nigeria by helping the technology ecosystem scale and promoting inclusion in the sector.

“For the UK-Nigeria Tech Hub, investing in women means enabling women to acquire necessary skills needed to thrive in the digital economy,” she added.

Founder of Herconomy, Ife Durosimi-Etti, said the firm has been pushing for gender equality by enhancing things that can advance the progress of women by giving them access to opportunities. She noted that IWD is an important celebration as they are a female focused firm, adding that they are committed to amplifying the light of women excelling in their fields.

“As a community, we have come together to promote gender equality. We encourage women to save and grow their wealth and give them access to different investment opportunities. Women face issues like domestic violence, gender pay gap, child marriage and others. We need to shine the light on women doing amazing work to inspire other women,” she said.
