Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed a stoppage of the selection process of a monarch for Akiriboto Oke in Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State.
The directive was contained in a statement by the Governor’s spokesman, Olawale Rasheed, on Monday in Osogbo.
He said the Governor directed the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters to put on hold the selection of warrant chiefs with immediate effect.
The Governor further instructed all processes till date on the subject to be put on hold , insisting that due process is a must.

While advocating inclusive process, the Governor posited that the stoppage of further action will enable all due diligence to be conducted and enforced.
Adeleke was quoted as having said: “We must continue to uphold due process.
“Our success so far is built on adherence to rule of law, due process and fear of God.
“We must uphold those tenets that enhance our successes.”
