Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have begun investigation after two siblings: Ojo and Michael Olorunda, were stabbed in Itele Lafenwa axis of Sango Ota, Ogun State on Friday.
The stabbing of the siblings left one dead and the other seriously injured and receiving treatment in the hospital.
The Eagle Online learnt that Michael, the younger brother, died on the spot from a stab wound to his chest, while Ojo, the surviving older brother, was taken to the hospital and responding to treatment.
According to the information available to The Eagle Online on Saturday, the attack on the siblings, which was initiated by one Ismail Ogunsekan, in conspiracy with another identified simply as Double D, both at large now, was carried out with scissors and broken bottles.
The Eagle Online was told by a police source: “On 26/4/2024, one Mathew Olorunda of 19, Econet Street, Lafenwa Itele, reported that one Ismail Ogunsekan of Victory Estate Itele conspired together with one Double D of Happy home bus stop, came to the complainants house and stabbed two of his younger brothers, one Ojo Olorunda, aged 37, and one Michael Olorunda, aged 27, with a scissors due to a little misunderstanding between the suspects and the victims.
“He stated further that as a result, his younger brother, Michael Olorunda, died on the spot due to the deep injury he sustained on his chest, while Ojo Olorunda was injured and currently at the hospital responding to treatment.
“On receipt of the report, the crime scene was visited by detectives and photographs of the corpse were taken before it was removed and deposited at Ota General Hospital Morgue for autopsy.”
The source further told The Eagle Online that no arrest has been made yet, but assured that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.

When contacted, the spokesman of the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the development.
Odutola, a Superintendent of Police, said operatives are closing in on the suspects and they would be apprehended soon.
