Marine firm joins SIIFZ portfolio to drive innovation, trade, economic growth

Nigerdock has announced the establishment of a marine firm, Transocean Coatings FZE, at the Snake Island Integrated Free Zone (SIIFZ), aimed at driving innovation, commerce and economic growth across the region.

Speaking at the official signing ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer, Nigerdock, Maher Jarmakani, said Transocean Coatings FZE, joined SIIFZ’s growing portfolio of multi-sector entities spanning maritime, logistics, finance, energy and heavy industry.

Jarmakani welcomed the marine firm to the economic zone, expressing optimism about a partnership that will significantly contribute to regional development and industrial advancement.

On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of Transocean Coatings Nigeria Limited, Oliver Birkett, stated that with the company’s presence in over 20 countries, the new facility at SIIFZ strategically expands its global footprint and enhances its ability to serve clients with greater efficiency and proximity.

He noted that the development also reinforces the company’s commitment to the region’s infrastructure and energy sectors, aligning with its long-term vision for business growth in Africa.

Birkett added that SIIFZ offers a conducive business environment and access to global markets, which will, in turn, enhance the company’s manufacturing capacity for protective coatings used in marine, onshore and offshore assets.
