Chelsea to parade Jackson, Pedro against Palmeiras

Striker Nicolas Jackson will return to Chelsea squad against Brazilian side, Palmeiras, in Saturday’s Club World Cup quarterfinal match.
Jackson is returning from his two-match suspension following his red card against Flamengo in their group stage. New signing, João Pedro, is available for the Blues, who are the only English side left in this year’s FIFA Club World Cup holding in the United States.
One big miss for Chelsea will be Moisés Caicedo, who picked up a one-match suspension after getting his second yellow of the competition in the Round of 16.
This pairing against Palmeiras is a repeat of the 2021 Club World Cup, which Chelsea won 2-1 in extra-time.
The Brazilian side will certainly be motivated to not only exact revenge for that defeat in 2021, but to continue the Brazilian league’s great successes in this year’s expanded field.
Some better teams, including Manchester City have already fallen by the wayside in this tournament, but Chelsea have managed to find themselves on the favourable side.
For Chelsea fans, the team should certainly be aware of the need to keep putting in the effort and playing well.
To them, the defeat against Flamengo in their group stage must have served as a wake-up call to Chelsea.
