NFF extends NPFL, NNL, NLO board tenures to Sept 2026

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee has extended the tenure of the current boards of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Nigeria National League (NNL), and Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) until September 29, 2026.

This extension aligns with the end of the current NFF administration led by Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON).

The boards, led respectively by Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye (NPFL), Chief George Aluo (NNL), and HE Silas Ali Agara (NLO), had initially been appointed on July 1, 2023, for a two-year term that ended on June 30, 2025.

The NFF praised their contributions over the past two years and encouraged them to further improve the quality and attractiveness of the leagues.

However, the decision regarding the board of the Nigeria Women Football League, headed by Ms. Nkechi Nneka Obi, has been deferred to a later date.
