Bola Oyebamiji, APC governorship candidate in Osun State, has urged Governor Ademola Adeleke to shift from dancing at public events to focusing on governance and development.
Speaking in Osogbo at an endorsement rally for President Bola Tinubu and the reception of National Assembly members into the APC, Oyebamiji warned that Osun is drifting towards economic uncertainty and administrative decline.
Addressing the crowd in Yoruba, Oyebamiji emphasised that it is time for work.
According to him, “At a time when Osun is drifting dangerously toward economic uncertainty, administrative decline and consistent inefficiency, it has become imperative for every well-meaning politician and stakeholder to unite to rescue and rebuild our state.”
He added that the task ahead goes beyond personal ambition, focusing instead on restoring accountability and safeguarding the future of the younger generation. “Osun… Ijo too… Ise yaaa,” Oyebamiji declared.
Ajibola Basiru, APC National Secretary, also criticised Adeleke’s administration, saying the state has not matched available federal allocations with visible development.
According to Basiru, the defection of five National Assembly members reflects growing dissatisfaction and a political shift in Osun.
The lawmakers who joined the APC include Francis Fadahunsi, Olubiyi Fadeyi, Oluwole Oke, Sanya Omirin and Taofeek Ajilesoro.
