Govs Eno, Diri, others make list as APC unveils convention coordination committee

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled the full list of its forthcoming national convention.

The responsibility to coordinate the party’s national convention slated for March 27 and 28, has has been saddled on a 73-member Central Coordination Committee led by, Governor Hope Uzodimma as its chairman.

In a statement issued on Monday, Ajibola Basiru, the National Secretary of the APC said that the Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, will serve as the committee’s vice chairman.

Also listed on the committee is the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, who will serve as Secretary.

Recall that the APC had earlier released its timetable for the party’s 2025/2026 ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses nationwide.

From these events which culminate in the national convention, the ruling party is expected to elect new members of its National Working Committee.

Other members of the national convention’s coordinating committee include, Governors Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State, Bassey Otu of Cross River State, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State and Monday Okpebholo of Edo State.

In addition, Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Muhammed Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State, Nasir Idris of Kebbi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State, Abiodun Adedapo Oluseun of Ogun State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State, Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State, and Agbu Kefas of Taraba State also made the list.

Others listed are the APC Interim National Chairman Bisi Akande; former party chairmen Adams Oshiomhole, Abdullahi Adamu, and Abdullahi Ganduje; the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohamed Idris Malagi; and the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa.

The list also includes the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin; Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu; former Senate Presidents Anyim Pius Anyim, Ken Nnamani, and Ahmed Lawan; and the former Speakers of the House of Representatives.
