The naira on Thursday appreciated to N1,438 per dollar in the parallel market, up from N1,447 per dollar recorded on Wednesday.
However, the local currency depreciated in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), trading at N1,355 per dollar.
Data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed that the indicative exchange rate for the naira increased to N1,355 per dollar from N1,350 per dollar on Wednesday, representing a N5 depreciation for the currency.
