Isaac Fayose Slams Politicians, Urges Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Step Aside Amid Wife’s Illness

Nigerian public figure, Isaac Fayose, has delivered an emotional message condemning corruption and urging political leaders to reflect on their actions, following a personal family crisis.
Fayose revealed that he recently traveled to Australia to visit his ailing wife, who was too weak to receive him at the airport or communicate effectively due to her condition. He recounted how he had to make his way alone and could only comfort her by singing her favourite song, as she lay unable to speak but still responsive enough to hold his hand.
Using the experience as a moment of reflection, Fayose criticized politicians who embezzle public funds, questioning the moral cost of enriching themselves while citizens suffer.
He stressed that wealth and material possessions, including his reported $1 million home, could not prevent human vulnerability or personal tragedy.
Directing his message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who recently turned 74, Fayose urged him to consider stepping aside for the sake of the nation.
He further lamented the state of public infrastructure, citing reports of inadequate electricity and water supply in maternity wards in Ekiti State as evidence of systemic failure.
Fayose concluded with a sobering reminder about mortality, warning that all leaders will one day give account of their actions before God
