As a two-term governor of Oyo State—home to Ibadan, one of the largest cities in Africa and historically known as the Pace Setter—Makinde has demonstrated consistent leadership anchored in stability and performance.
From humble beginnings, complemented by a solid and reliable background, his political journey has been marked by respect for elders and the absence of a “use-and-dump” approach often associated with politics. He has maintained cordial relationships across both elite circles and grassroots communities, earning him broad-based acceptance.
