A former student has shared a remarkable account of how a near-disastrous mathematics examination turned into an unexpected success, attributing the experience to what he described as the mercy of God.
Recounting the incident, the individual said he had always been confident in mathematics and was known among his peers for assisting them in understanding complex concepts. However, during a crucial examination, he experienced a sudden and total mental block.
“I entered the hall, and the questions looked completely unfamiliar,” he said. “I read through the first, second, third, and even all the questions, but I couldn’t recognize or understand any of them. I was sweating and confused.”
According to him, the situation became so overwhelming that he considered leaving the examination hall, convinced he would have to retake the paper. Despite the urge to walk out, he said he felt compelled to remain seated.
“I didn’t even know God at that time, but something just kept telling me to sit down,” he recalled.
After about 15 minutes, the student said clarity suddenly returned. Revisiting the questions, he was able to understand and attempt them with confidence.
“In the little time left, I answered all eight questions, even though only five were required,” he said.
He added that he boldly wrote “Mark 5” at the top of his answer sheet, a reflection of his renewed confidence after the unexpected turnaround.
Reflecting on the experience, he emphasized the role of divine intervention in his success.
“You are what you are today by the mercy of God,” he stated.
The story has since resonated as an inspiring reminder of perseverance, faith, and the possibility of recovery even in moments of intense pressure and self-doubt.
