2027: Borno South APC Stakeholders Endorse Ndume

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the nine Local Government Areas of Borno South have unanimously endorsed Senator Ali Ndume and raised over ₦40 million to procure his senatorial nomination form ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The delegation, led by party veteran Adamu Yamta, visited the Borno State APC Chairman, Bello Ayuba, at his residence in Maiduguri on Sunday to formally convey their decision and seek the party’s backing.
Addressing the gathering, Yamta praised Governor Babagana Zulum, for what he described as selfless and inclusive leadership across the state.
Responding, Ayuba expressed surprise at the size and calibre of the delegation, noting that the turnout reflected strong unity within the party.
“I thought this meeting was for just three or five people. I am truly surprised by this massive turnout and even more impressed by the quality of stakeholders drawn from all the Local Government Areas of Borno South.
“Even members of the state party executive are here. Indeed, Senator Ndume belongs to all of us,” he said.
Ayuba also commended Governor Zulum’s leadership style, highlighting its inclusiveness and recognition of all parts of the state. He cited his own emergence from a relatively small local government area as evidence of the governor’s broad-based approach.
Other speakers, including Abdullahi Danjato and Musa Dogo, described the endorsement as unanimous, stressing that Ndume has demonstrated consistent performance and effective representation over the years.
They added that the visit was aimed at informing the chairman and state leadership and securing its blessing for their collective decision.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including the Borno South APC zonal leader, the party’s State Assistant Secretary, all nine local government party chairmen from the zone, party executives, youth leaders, and members of the business community.
