2027: Ogun will record highest votes in South West, says Abiodun

Governor Dapo Abiodun has declared that Ogun State will deliver the highest number of votes in the South West in the coming elections.

Abiodun made this statement in a post shared on Wednesday, following the Ogun East APC Stakeholders’ Meeting.
In the meeting, leaders of the zone adopted him as the consensus senatorial candidate for Ogun East under the All Progressives Congress.
Abiodun said the adoption showed strong trust from party leaders and members in the zone.
To him, the support places a duty on him to serve the people well and not fail their expectations.

“We sincerely appreciate this overwhelming show of confidence and support. It is a responsibility we do not take lightly, and we assure our leaders and people that we will not let them down,” he said.
The governor also spoke about the party’s plans for the state and the region.
He expressed confidence that Ogun East and the entire state would work together to support other candidates of the party in the coming polls.
Abiodun said the party would back Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) as the next governor of Ogun State.
He also said that the state would give strong support to Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“We are equally confident that Ogun East, alongside the entire state, will stand united to deliver Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola – YAYI as the next Governor of Ogun State. Together, we will also deliver resounding support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,” Abiodun said.
Speaking further, Abiodun stressed that the party in Ogun State was united and ready for the task ahead.
He said members across all zones were committed to working together to achieve victory.
“Ogun State will record the highest number of votes in the South West. This is our collective resolve, and we remain fully committed to making it a reality,” he stated.
Party leaders at the meeting also pledged their support for Abiodun and other candidates, noting that the unity within the party would help it win elections across the state.
