67-Year-Old Transport Boss Allegedly Hacked to Death by Gateman in Ajah”

A 67-year-old man named Chief Augustine Nwalieze was tragically slain by his gateman in the Ajah neighborhood of Lagos State for unknown reasons.

The deceased, who was apparently a manager at Okeyson Transport, was attacked at his Ajah home on Saturday morning just as he was getting ready to leave.The tragedy has devastated the family, according to a family member who spoke to Vanguard on condition of anonymity.

He described how the deceased had came downstairs to his home’s parking lot, where spare parts from his vehicles and a solar panel were kept.“My father-in-law’s gateman, Abdullahi Dairu, killed him on Saturday.

He said, He had prepared for outing, when the incident happened. He walked downstairs to the car park, close to the store where spare parts from his cars are kept and a solar panel was stored.”

He claims that the family grew concerned when they saw that none of the deceased’s cars had been relocated and that all phone calls to him were unsuccessful.

“Really, no one knew what had transpired. They didn’t hear the gate opening or the sound of a car leaving. They started to worry about his whereabouts because all three of his automobiles were still parked. He continued, “They called his phone, but he didn’t answer.

Abdullahi Dairu, the gateman, reportedly came under suspicion after providing contradictory information about the victim’s whereabouts.When they visited Abdullahi Dairu, he claimed to have gone out with one of his buddies. However, the friend claimed he hadn’t seen him that day when the wife called him, according to the source.

He claimed, He was vanished by the time they came back to interview him once more. They started doing a comprehensive search of the facility at that point.

In one of the apartments downstairs, they discovered his lifeless body. His hands, body, and head were all sliced with machetes. The informant revealed, “It was a horrible sight.”

The victim was sent to a neighboring hospital right away, but upon arrival, it was determined that he was dead.

According to what Vanguard learned, the deceased resided upstairs with his wife, daughter, two servants, and another woman. It was reported that the deceased’s other children were living and working on their own.

Vanguard discovered that the body is presently being transported to his hometown by the family.

The source confirmed the development, stating that the police had been notified of the situation and had started an inquiry.

Owkudili, a 67-year-old man, was declared dead by the Lagos State Police Command.

“The command has commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend a fleeing security guard linked to the premises,” stated Abimbola Adebisi, the Police Public Relations Officer.
