ADC Accuses APC Of Plot To Disrupt Opposition’s Gathering Today In Ibadan

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to disrupt an opposition summit scheduled to take place in Ibadan, Oyo State, on April 25.

In a post on his X handle on Saturday, the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, alleged that the party had uncovered plans aimed at interfering with the gathering.

“We have uncovered plans by the ruling APC to disrupt the summit being held by the opposition parties in Ibadan, Oyo State, today, 25th of April,” Abdullahi said.

He further claimed that the alleged interference follows earlier challenges faced by opposition groups in securing venues in the nation’s capital.

“After denying us the use of venues in Abuja, they now will not leave us alone to hold our meetings,” he stated.

Abdullahi criticized the APC’s actions, suggesting they contradict the ruling party’s public stance.

“They say they are not scared, but they are behaving like people who are terrified. But we will not be deterred, because we are on the side of the Nigerian people.”

The APC has yet to respond to the allegations at the time of filing this report.
