EPL: Guardiola makes history after Man City beat Arsenal

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, on Sunday made history after his team defeated Arsenal 2-1 in the Premier League.

Guardiola watched as Erling Haaland second half goal gave the Cityzens all three points against the Gunners at the Etihad Stadium.

According to OptaJoe, the result of the encounter means Guardiola has now won all four of his Premier League games against the league leaders with his Man City side starting the day second in the table.

This means that Guardiola now has the joint-most wins by a manager of second versus first in the competition’s history, alongside legendary Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson.

Guardiola’s side will tackle Burnley on Wednesday in their next Premier League match.

They are now three points behind Mikel Arteta’s side on the Premier League table with a game in hand.
