Helena Bonham Carter Drops Out Of ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4

In a surprising twist, just days after filming began, Hollywood legend Helena Bonham Carter has officially exited the upcoming season of HBO’s hit series, The White Lotus.

The departure comes only a week into production in France. According to a statement from HBO, the decision was made after it became clear that the character created by showrunner Mike White did not align with the actress once she got on set.

“The role has subsequently been rethought, is being rewritten, and will be recast in the coming weeks,” a representative for HBO stated. While the network expressed sadness over the change, it maintained that it remains an ardent fan of the actress and hopes to collaborate with her on future projects.

Bonham Carter was one of the biggest names attached to the fourth season of the Emmy-winning anthology. Despite her exit, the cast remains packed with stars, including Kumail Nanjiani, Steve Coogan, Vincent Cassel, Heather Graham, and Rosie Perez.
