Marriage Is Primarily About Sexual Intimacy, Says Rev. Stellamaris Ajetomobi

A senior church leader, Stellamaris Ajetomobi, has sparked conversation with her candid remarks on the role of sexual intimacy in marriage.

Speaking during a recent engagement, the Vice President of The Men of Issachar Vision Inc. described sex as the “core assignment” within the marital institution, emphasizing its exclusivity between spouses.

According to her, many of the basic needs such as food, shelter, and clothing were already available to her before marriage, making intimacy the defining distinction in her union.

She stressed that sexual relations are reserved strictly for married partners, noting that religious and moral expectations reinforce this boundary.

While acknowledging that spouses may support each other in domestic responsibilities like cooking, laundry, and childcare, Ajetomobi maintained that sexual intimacy remains a unique obligation that cannot be delegated or outsourced.

Her remarks have since generated mixed reactions, with some agreeing with her perspective on marital intimacy, while others argue that marriage encompasses a broader range of emotional, spiritual, and practical responsibilities.
