Dr. Nonye Soludo, the governor of Anambra State’s wife, has advised young people in Nigeria to embrace their special abilities and gifts in order to advance society and offer answers to problems that their communities face.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in honor of World Creativity and Innovation Day, which is observed worldwide on April 21, Soludo—who also founded the non-governmental organization Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo—made the request.

According to her, innovation is more than just technology; it’s about coming up with fresh approaches to issues, encouraging people, and creating chances where none were before.

Today, we honor the strength of ideas, the bravery to think outside the box, and the beauty of creativity that propels advancement throughout our communities.

“In honor of World Innovation and Creativity Day, I encourage every young mind, every dreamer, and every changemaker to embrace their unique gifts. Innovation is not only about technology; it is about finding new ways to solve problems, uplift others, and create opportunities where none existed before,” she said.

The first lady expressed delight in the inventiveness and tenacity of Anambra people in a variety of domains, including entrepreneurship, craftsmanship, education, and the workforce. She claimed that these traits continue to form a more promising and inclusive future for the state.

She urged young people to continue encouraging innovative ideas and fostering curiosity.

“Let’s keep encouraging bold ideas, fostering curiosity, and investing in our people’s talents.” Because we all have the capacity to change the world,” she stated.

Every year on April 21, the United Nations observes World Creativity and Innovation Day to increase awareness of the value of creativity and innovation in promoting the global goals, also known as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The day encourages creative and multidisciplinary thinking at both individual and group levels.
