Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George, has urged his players to replicate their Federation Cup form in their next league fixture against Abia Warriors.
The Pride of Rivers thrashed Willbros FC 3-0 in the final match of the state federation Cup on Sunday.
Rivers United will lock horns with Abia Warriors in a matchday 36 fixture at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt next weekend.
Finidi said that he is anticipating a tough clash against the Umuahia-based club.
“It’s good to have a victory ahead of the important clash against Abia Warriors next weekend,” Finidi told the club’s media.
“We scored three goals in the federation Cup and we hope we can replicate that in the match against Abia Warriors.
“It’s not going to be an easy match we have to work hard.”
