Real Madrid react to death of Jose Santamaria

Real Madrid has reacted to the death of the club’s legend, Jose Emilio Santamaria.
In a statement via its website on Wednesday, the Los Blancos sent condolences and affection to Jose Santamaria’s wife, Nora and his children.
DAILY POST reports that Jose Santamaria died at the age of 96.
“Real Madrid C. F., its president, and its Board of Directors deeply regret the passing of José Emilio Santamaría, one of the greatest legends of our club and world football,” Real Madrid’s statement read.
“Real Madrid wishes to express its condolences and affection to his wife Nora, his children Nelson, Nora, Beatriz, José, Silvia, and Javier, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all his family, teammates, and loved ones.”
Jose Santamaria won four European Cups, one Intercontinental Cup, six La Liga titles, and one Spanish Cup with Real Madrid, across 337 games after spending nine seasons at the club.
