VIDEO: Hoodlums attack motorists, residents despite curfew relaxation in Jos

Tension has again erupted in Jos, Plateau State, as fresh attacks by hoodlums on motorists and residents were recorded across several parts of the city on Wednesday, despite the recent relaxation of the curfew by the state government.
According to our correspondent, sources said a young man walking along the road leading to the UNIJOS Permanent Site was hacked to death by hoodlums who descended on him without provocation. The killing further heightened panic among residents already on edge over the growing unrest.
In the Terminus, Bauchi Road and Gangere areas, several motorists had their windscreens smashed as mobs attacked passing vehicles and pedestrians. Business activities were paralysed across affected communities, with many shop owners refusing to open for fear of being caught in the violence.
Banks operating in the volatile locations were also forced to shut down operations temporarily, as staff and customers struggled to navigate the escalating tension.
Residents listed the most affected areas as the UNIJOS corridor, Bauchi Road, Farin Gada, Tina Junction and Chobe, noting that movement had significantly thinned out as many people opted to remain indoors.
