In an interview with TVC, Joshua said his choice is guided by the type of image he wants to build in the industry and the direction he hopes his acting career will take.
He noted that if he becomes widely recognized for performing such roles, filmmakers may continue to cast him in similar scenes, something he prefers to avoid. According to him, he is intentional about the roles he takes and how he is perceived on screen.
“If I’m good at it, producers will likely give me the same role over and over again and I don’t want to kiss half the girls in Nollywood”, he said.
