A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the Jigawa South-West Senatorial District, Aminu Wada Abubakar, has called for greater attention to empowerment, education, and economic development ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Abubakar said Northern Nigeria was facing economic and social challenges that required increased attention to job creation, skills acquisition, agriculture, and small-scale businesses.
“What is happening in the country today, especially in Northern Nigeria, requires leaders that will prioritise empowerment, education, and economic development,” he said.
He also referenced healthcare, education, and rural development as areas requiring policy attention.
