EPL: Jackson gives condition to stay at Chelsea under Xabi Alonso

Chelsea striker, Nicolas Jackson, has given a condition to stay at the club under new manager Xabi Alonso.

Jackson is set to return to Chelsea after spending the 2025/2026 season on loan at Bayern Munich.

The Senegal international was a mainstay in the Chelsea team for two seasons after joining the Premier League west London club from Villarreal.

He netted 30 goals in 81 appearances for the Blues following his £32m move to Stamford Bridge.

But Chelsea sanctioned his move to the Bundesliga champions last summer after spending almost £100m to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and Joao Pedro from Brighton.

However, according to The Sun, Jackson now wants assurances from Alonso over his game time and will only stay at Chelsea if he is viewed as a ‘first-choice’ by the new head coach.

The report added that Jackson is ‘happy’ to stay at Chelsea, but only if he regains his place in the first team for next season.

Jackson scored 11 goals in 34 appearances for Bayern during his loan spell as he played back-up to England striker Harry Kane.
