Gov Alia Distributes Materials For APC Presidential Primaries In Benue

Benue State governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has distributed electoral materials for today’s All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary elections across the 23 local government areas of the state.
Alia, who serves as Benue’s central returning officer for the exercise, received the materials at the Government House on Friday evening and subsequently briefed stakeholders and displayed the parcels at the State Party Secretariat.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, said in a statement on Saturday that distribution of the materials began as early as 6 a.m.
According to the statement, members of the State Working Committee of the party, led by Benjamin Omale, “all local government party chairmen, local government executive chairmen, and other stakeholders” attended the event.
Kula called for a peaceful exercise, insisting that the party is bigger than any individual and that members must continue to work together.
Alia urged local government area returning officers to ensure that voters have the opportunity to freely cast their votes and choose the party’s flag bearer. He added that the party “has done so well by delivering for the people and is ready to return power at all levels in the coming elections.”
