Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, on Wednesday visited President Bola Tinubu and the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, in Lagos as part of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

Sanwo-Olu was accompanied by his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, during the visit.

The governor disclosed this in a post shared on his official X handle, describing the meeting as an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between Lagos State and the Federal Government.

“Together with the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, we visited His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our First Lady, HE Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as part of the Eid el Kabir celebrations,” Sanwo-Olu wrote.

He added that it was always a pleasure to host the President in Lagos and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to national development and the welfare of citizens.

“It is always a pleasure to have the President back home to Lagos, and an opportunity to reaffirm the working relationship between Lagos State and the Federal Government as we remain committed to national progress and the wellbeing of our people,” he stated.

President Tinubu is currently in Lagos for the Eid-el-Kabir festivities.

Eid-el-Kabir, also known as Eid al-Adha, is one of the most significant festivals in Islam and commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command.
