The Managing Director and CEO of Engraced Events and Entertainment, Itoto Emmanuel, has described Nigeria’s entertainment industry as one of the country’s most viable sectors capable of creating massive employment opportunities and boosting economic growth.
Speaking after the successful hosting of comedian MC Casino’s Funny By Nature at the prestigious Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Lagos, Emmanuel said the event production outfit handled the project from conception to final execution, ensuring guests enjoyed a seamless and memorable experience.
According to him, Engraced Events coordinated every aspect of the production process, including stage management, talent coordination, guest welfare, branding, and overall event delivery.
He noted that the company’s goal was not only to deliver quality entertainment but also to create an atmosphere that left lasting memories for guests and performers alike.
“We handled the event from the idea stage to the final execution. Our responsibility was to ensure that everything worked seamlessly, from the talents going on stage at the right time to guest satisfaction and overall entertainment experience,” Emmanuel said.
Reflecting on the impact of government taxes on event production, Emmanuel acknowledged the importance of taxation to state development but stressed that multiple charges continue to affect operators in the industry.
“Currently, almost everything we do is taxed. Before rolling out event materials in Lagos, we had to pay for signage and several other approvals.
“We are a tax-paying company, and we understand government needs revenue for development, but these charges also affect event delivery,” he stated.
