IOED Appoints Nigerian, Ojadah As Consul General

The International Organization for Economic Development (IOED) has officially announced the appointment of distinguished Nigerian diplomat, Amb. Jonathan Ojadah as its new Consul General.
Following an initial declaration by the IOED African Continental Headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, the organization’s global media and communications department in Paris has formally ratified the designation.

In this high-profile role, Amb. Ojadah will leverage his extensive global network to drive the core mandate of the IOED, focusing heavily on three strategic pillars, namely investment attraction, continental trade integration, and sustainable economic development.
He is expected to engage in “Accelerating foreign direct investment (FDI) into emerging African markets, with a dedicated focus on infrastructure, digital technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and green energy; Promoting regional trade corridors, mitigating structural barriers for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and actively advancing the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) as well as Harmonising regional cross-border initiatives with the African Union (AU) Agenda 2063 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
As a primary immediate directive, Amb. Ojadah will spearhead the coordination of the upcoming Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State in Côte d’Ivoire.
Serving as the IOED’s inaugural official state appearance, this high-level assembly will showcase the organization’s diplomatic sovereignty, geopolitical influence, and commitment to global economic cooperation.
The grand inaugural ceremony in Abidjan is poised to attract an international assembly of world leaders and global dignitaries.
To mark the occasion, over 350 public media outlets are scheduled to provide comprehensive global coverage.
The IOED Global Executive Presidency is currently finalising a framework agreement with African Heads of State through the African Union (AU).
Once ratified as an international convention by AU member states, this agreement will officially launch IOED’s expansive investment operations across the continent.
Recall that Amb. Ojadah is a highly accomplished diplomat, international trade specialist, and global peace advocate with an exemplary record of establishing high-level economic partnerships across Africa, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
He serves as the Global President of the United International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC).
He specialises in facilitating intra-African investments, cross-border public-private partnerships (PPPs), and industrial growth under the AfCFTA framework.
Ojadah is the recipient of the United States President’s Lifetime Achievement Award and the Kenya Presidential National Peace Hero Award, honoring his career-long dedication to sustainable development.
