Kano Reps Member Abdulmumin Jibrin In Public Spat With Constituents

A member of the House of Representatives representing Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency of Kano State, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has been captured in a viral video engaged in a heated public argument with some of his constituents.

In the footage circulating on social media, the lawmaker, who is serving his fourth term in the National Assembly, was seen exchanging words with a crowd, at some point angrily hurling insults as people gathered around him.

The circumstances that led to the confrontation have not been independently verified. However, observers suggested that the incident may be connected to growing political tension in the constituency, particularly as discussions around the next election cycle begin to gather momentum.

In a separate video of the incident also trending online, some constituents were seen openly expressing discontent with Jibrin, chanting “Ba mayi,” a Hausa language phrase meaning “We don’t want you again.”

As at the time of filing this report, Hon. Jibrin was yet to issue an official statement regarding the public spat.
