The installation of solar-powered mini grids in Kuva Gaya and Kwakwah communities in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State has reached an advanced stage of completion, as the state government intensifies efforts to expand electricity access to underserved communities.
Officials from the Adamawa State Ministry of Energy carried out an inspection visit to the two communities as part of routine supervision aimed at assessing the progress of the ongoing projects.
The inspection team was led by the Director of Energy Resource Development and Renewable Energy, Engr. James Yohanna, alongside Engr. Kabiru Bashir and Engr. Boniface Bwalamari.
According to the ministry, the projects are designed to provide electricity to communities with limited or no access to power supply, with the aim of improving living standards and boosting socio-economic activities in the affected areas.
The Adamawa State Government, under the leadership of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has continued to prioritize rural electrification through the deployment of solar mini-grid projects across the state in partnership with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
