The elders and stakeholders in Moro local government area of Kwara State have urged all the eligible voters from the area in the Thursday All Progressives Congress( APC) gubernatorial primary to queue behind a daughter of Moro, Hajia Musiliat Yetunde Bello- Adebowale.
Hajia Bello- Adebowale, a retired senior civil servant is one of the Kwara APC gubernatorial aspirants.
The stakeholders made the appeal in a a communique issued at the end of their special meeting in Shao and signed by Alh Faruq Yusuf Ipaye and Alh Issa Bolanle Gbodi Lanwa.
They enjoined the Moro indigenes that will vote in the APC primary to give their total support to their daughter, whom they described as a great asset to the community.
They described Hajia Bello- Adebowale as a community spirited individual who has contributed immensely to the development of communities in Moro local government area.
The stakeholders added that the support for the aspirant becomes imperative being a woman who has shown interest in contributing her quota to the development of not only Moro, but the entire state.
The communique reads in part:
“We are very happy to have an indigene of Moro Local Government, Hajia Yetunde Musliat Bello-Adebiwale who is from Kwara North Senatorial District, as one of the Aspirants from Kwara North Senatorial District that were screened to contest for the position of Governor in Kwara State.
” That we salute her courage, boldness and efforts that she has displayed and made so far, to prove that she has the capability and capacity to take the mantle of leadership, as the next Governor of Kwara State, come 2027.
” That the stakeholders from Moro local government would like to appeal to other APC aspirants from Kwara north, Kwara central and Kwara south senatorial districts to give their support to Hajia Yetunde Musliat Bello-Adebowale as either the consensus candidate of the APC or the aspirant to be voted for, during the party’s primary election, which would take place on Thursday 21st of May, 2026 across the 16 local governments in Kwara State.”
