Michael Douglas And Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Daughter Carys Set For Stage Debut

Carys Douglas is stepping into the spotlight as she prepares to make her professional stage debut.

The 23-year-old daughter of Hollywood stars Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones has been cast in a New York City production of Anton Chekhov’s classic play, ‘The Seagull’.

The production, described as a “multi-space, site-specific theatrical experience,” is being staged by theatre company Solid Flesh and will run for a limited engagement from June 20 to June 27 at St. Lydia’s venue in Brooklyn.

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, who have been married since 2000, share two children — Carys and her older brother, Dylan Douglas. Douglas is also the father of Cameron Douglas from his previous marriage to Diandra Luker.

Carys has previously spoken openly about her desire to follow in her parents’ footsteps in the entertainment industry. Speaking at the 2025 PAC NYC Icons of Culture Gala after graduating from Brown University with a degree in film and international relations, she shared her passion for acting and theatre.

“I grew up doing theatre, and I didn’t study acting in school, but that’s why I’m happy to be in such an informative arts space, so hopefully more of that,” she said.

Earlier this year, Zeta-Jones celebrated her daughter’s graduation with a heartfelt Instagram post showing herself and Douglas kissing Carys on both cheeks.

“We are both such proud parents right now!! It’s only just begun!!” the actress wrote.
