Nnamdi Kanu: Group Tasks S’East Governors, Igbo NASS Members, Harps On Imo Charter Of Equity

OWERRI – The ‘ISU NATION’, a socio-cultural organisation in the Imo West Senatorial District, has called on the governors of the Southeast region to put up persistent formidable appeals to the presidency for the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
President of the organisation and a former deputy speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Chief Okechukwu Dike, made a call in an exclusive interview with our correspondent.
The former law maker equally challenged members of the National Assembly of Southeast extraction to join hands with Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe in his vociferous agitations and principled stance for the release of the IPOB leader.
Dike, a renowned pharmacist regretted that appeals by such prominent notable Igbo leaders as the late Mbazuluike Amaechi and Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu for Kanu to regain his freedom proved abortive thereby leading to his prolonged predicament.
“We need more of the Abaribes who are courageous enough to speak for the release of Nnamdi Kanu and governors of the Southeast should speak out and take a common position on the issue.”
Chief Dike who decried the recrudescence of insecurity in some states of the Southern part of the country advised Nigerians to always be security conscious and to report any suspicious movement to law enforcement agencies for necessary action.
He explained that the ‘ISU NATION’ as a socio-cultural organisation was formed by a former deputy governor of the state, the late Dr. Douglas Acholonu to bring all sons of ‘ISU NATION’ together for a common purpose.
