NOG Energy Forum Targets Operational Breakthroughs Across Value Chain

Stakeholders in the energy sector will examine operational challenges and technology-driven solutions across the oil, gas and power value chains at the 2026 edition of NOG Energy Week scheduled to hold soon.
According to the organisers, the event’s continuing professional development-certified technical seminar will bring together industry practitioners, engineers, procurement specialists, technology providers, researchers, academics and policymakers to discuss the deployment of technologies aimed at addressing operational issues across the sector.
The organisers said the discussions would take place against the backdrop of evolving global energy dynamics, including geopolitical tensions, supply chain disruptions and increasing pressure on producers to improve efficiency and optimise output.
The seminar programme is designed to focus on digital transformation, artificial intelligence applications in reservoir and production optimisation, asset integrity management, engineering innovations and integrated operational systems.
Gas development and monetisation are also expected to feature prominently in discussions.
The forums is also looking at beaming at torchlight on liquefied natural gas technologies, floating LNG facilities and flare gas utilisation as industry participants explore ways of converting stranded gas resources into commercially viable energy sources.
Like other emerging economies, Nigeria is focusing critical areas including decentralised power systems, modular energy solutions and localised manufacturing models aimed at improving energy delivery and supporting industrial development.
The programme is expected to address investment trends in the energy sector, the management of mature oil and gas fields, human capital development, decarbonisation strategies, health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) practices, operational efficiency and project management.
Organisers said more than 700 technical abstracts were received from different parts of the world, with successful submissions covering geoscience, engineering, digital technologies, energy markets and sustainability.
NOG Energy Week is an annual gathering of stakeholders across the energy industry, including participants from the oil, gas, power, renewable energy, technology and finance sectors.
The event serves as a platform for discussions on issues affecting the energy industry in Nigeria, Africa and the global market.
