PORT HARCOURT – TechNexus Limited, in collaboration with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has unveiled plans for the Port Harcourt Tech Expo 2026, an initiative aimed at deepening innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven enterprise across the Niger Delta.
The organisers disclosed that the two-day technology conference and exhibition, themed “Syntropy,” is scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 11, and Friday, June 12, 2026, at the EUI Events Center in Port Harcourt.
They explained that the annual event would convene entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, technology professionals, and creatives from the Niger Delta, other parts of the country, and the diaspora to explore opportunities for innovation and economic growth.
Managing Director of TechNexus, Belema George, in a statement, said the 2026 edition would feature keynote presentations, panel sessions, startup pitch contests, product showcases, and networking engagements aimed at strengthening collaboration within the technology ecosystem.
George noted that the expo was designed to stimulate technology-driven economic development in Rivers State and the broader South-South region by creating opportunities for partnerships, investment, and enterprise growth.
He explained that the theme, “Syntropy,” was drawn from the idea of constructive synergy, reflecting confidence that stronger cooperation among innovators, institutions, and investors could accelerate sustainable development in the region.
According to him, the partnership with the NDDC aligns with the commission’s broader objective of driving sustainable development in the Niger Delta through innovation and strategic investments.
He further revealed that private sector stakeholders, including financial institutions, energy companies, and telecommunications firms operating in the region, had also backed the initiative.
George added that the expo was strategically conceived to position the Niger Delta as an emerging centre for innovation, technology, and enterprise.
He said, “The Port Harcourt Tech Expo is our declaration that the Niger Delta is open for innovation. We are building a platform where the most brilliant minds in our region can meet the resources, mentorship, and market access they need to thrive. Syntropy is not just an event; it is the beginning of a movement.
“The Port Harcourt Tech Expo 2026 is proudly supported by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), whose mandate to accelerate development in the Niger Delta region aligns directly with the Expo’s objectives.
