In a resolute address to his supporters, Haruna Adamu Sardauna, aspirant for the House of Representatives from the Potiskum/Nangere Federal Constituency, reassured the community of his unwavering commitment to their cause, stating that “justice will prevail” amidst ongoing electoral disputes.
Sardauna called upon the citizens of Potiskum and Nangere to remain calm and focused as they navigate the challenging political landscape. “I assure you that I will always stand with you in every challenging moment,” he declared. “I will never allow anyone to take away your mandate.” His comments came in response to concerns about the recent internal processes within the All Progressives Congress (APC) that he argued lacked legitimacy.
The aspirant emphasized that he and his supporters are diligently pursuing justice through legal channels, citing adherence to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Electoral Act, and the guidelines provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Sardauna revealed that credible evidence has emerged, indicating that no primary election or consensus process took place for the APC in their constituency.
Reflecting on his legal efforts, Sardauna stated, “In line with Section 87 of the Electoral Act 2026 (as amended), we submitted our appeal to the APC Primary Election Committee on 18th May, 2026, as provided in the party timetable.” He expressed confidence that the principles of justice would prevail over what he described as injustice in the electoral process.
As he concluded his address, Sardauna reiterated his dedication to the people of Potiskum and Nangere. “I stand firmly for your mandate and I will never betray the trust you have placed in me. With sincerity and integrity, you entrusted me with this responsibility, and Insha Allah, we shall never disappoint your confidence in us,” he affirmed.
