Transfer: Barcelona takes decision on Rashford after Anthony Gordon deal

Barcelona has decided on signing Marcus Rashford permanently from Manchester United after agreeing a £70m deal for Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon.
Gordon’s imminent move to Barcelona has raised question marks over Rashford’s future at the Blaugrana after his largely impressive loan spell.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the Barcelona hierarchy still intends to work on a deal for Rashford this week, although they don’t want to sign him for another loan.
Rashford spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Barcelona from Man United.
The 28-year-old impressed under Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, scoring 14 goals and recording 10 assists during his loan.
Rashford has already made it clear he wishes to stay at the Nou Camp beyond this summer.
