UNIOSUN Gets Full NUC Accreditation

Osun State University has recorded another major academic milestone as the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted full accreditation status to all 29 academic programmes presented by the institution during the October/November 2025 accreditation exercise.

The university’s public relations officer, Ademola Adesoji, in a statement, said the development was a further affirmation of the institution’s growing reputation as one of Nigeria’s fastest-rising and academically stable universities under the leadership of the vice-chancellor, Prof. Odunayo Clement Adebooye.

According to him, the approval was conveyed in an official communication signed by the NUC director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the commission’s executive secretary, following a comprehensive accreditation exercise conducted across various university lines in the University

“he accredited programmes cut across major academic fields, including Administration and Management, Allied Health Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Computing, Education, Sciences, and Social Sciences.”

Reacting to the development, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adebooye, expressed appreciation to the NUC for the confidence reposed in the institution, stating that the University’s 100 per cent success rate reflects years of strategic planning, quality assurance, and sustained investment in academic excellence.

According to him, all the programmes presented for accreditation secured full accreditation status, describing the feat as a milestone in the University’s journey towards global relevance and excellence.

Adebooye attributed the achievement to the collective commitment of staff, students, the Governing Council, alums, and other stakeholders, as well as the continuous support of the Osun State Government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
